When a new born enters this world the first thing she learns to do is breath, and when she exits this existence the last thing she leaves is her breath.
Breath is the single most amazing thing we do in life and yet is the single most forgotten technique.
As we begin to grow and mature our breath begins to get more and more shallow causing the effect of actually holding it rather than letting it flow.
This eventually creates blocks within our body which become hidden areas of energy buildup. Unfortunately it is always negative energy which remains stagnant as positive flow does just that, flow.
What we will experiment with here is first simply seeing breath for what it represents to our bodies and our lives, and how we can again learn to breath in a way that helps us to free the blocks that hold us from becoming the divine beings we were born to be.
Now the techniques:
First find a suitable space to begin this exercise, if possible choose a place which is clean and free from clutter, and that resonates with your highest intent for tapping into the divine energy which surrounds you and is available in each and every moment carried on your greatest birthrite, the breath.
Closing our eyes helps us to remain focused in our own energy and a reminder to remain there. from the time we are born, we begin to look outside ourselves for our survival, and this is natural, yet somewhere along the way just as with our breath we forget to look inside for our innermost survival.
The chaos of the outside world needs to be outside your energyfield and not within. In a single moment, on a single breath even the worst experience can be transformed into a calm and majestic moment.
*Sitting with back straight, visualize a a large bottomed vase, starting at your lower abdomen, the vase rises up to your mouth with a long slender neck which is the channel for your breath to enter and exit.
When a baby breaths she takes air in and brings it down to her belly, exhaling completely between each breath holding nothing back, creating a freeflow energy circuit from her base chakra to the crown.
*Practice filling first the base of the vase and moving the air upward to the heart region before slowly exhaling exhausting all the air and stagnant energy out through the top of your vase.
Breathing in through the nostrils and exhaling through the lips.
This is an exercise known as vase breathing.
* Next placing the tip of your tongue in the little indent at the roof, of your mouth, towards the middle, it is now in direct alignment with where your soft spot was as a baby and has the same affect of tapping into the divine as a child does before the veil develops and causes forgetfulness of our attachment to the cosmos.
*On the in breath in synchronized timing, as you slowly inhale, begin to gently pull up on your anus, just as if holding off a bowel movement until the full breath is reached. Now hold your anus firm but relaxed and take a single shot of air through your nose to the third eye and gently, slowly exhale releasing the anus slowly as you do.
The reason for pumping the anus as you breath is to help move energy from the base to the higher, energy moves through the cerebral spinal fluid and this just facilitates that energy in a more intense fashion.
*If you have trouble with the timing of the gentle anal pump and the breath, then continue to practice each separately until it becomes comfortable for you to do both simultaneously.
* Continue to practice this technique as it is the base for all other more advanced lessons in the future.
Thankyou and Namaste!
